The Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) was established in 1877 and has a long history of over a hundred years. It is a top-ranking and globally renowned design university in the United States, located in Providence, Rhode Island. Today, more than 1,800 undergraduates and over 300 graduate students from over 50 countries worldwide gather in the campus of the Rhode Island School of Design to pursue undergraduate and master’s degrees in fine arts, architectural design, ceramic glass design, fashion design, and other majors. The college has 350 talented teachers and 400 staff members. Every year, it also hosts over 200 famous artists, designers, critics, writers, and philosophers from all over the world as visiting scholars and part-time professors. The college has cultivated more than 16,000 graduates, who are spread across the United States and the world, many of whom have become outstanding design talents of the 20th century, especially in architecture, interior design, and industrial product design.
